Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how WiboWalls (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our iOS application. By using the app, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who we are (data controller)

WiboWalls is operated by an individual developer (a natural person), not a registered company. For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and similar laws, this individual is the data controller for personal data processed through the app and our services.

  • Jurisdiction: China (People’s Republic of China).
  • Contact (privacy & data rights): ynesconnect@163.com — we will respond within a reasonable time, typically within 30 days for complex requests where permitted by law.
  • Support page: Support.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and authentication data — If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive Apple-provided identifiers, session tokens, email address (if you choose to share it), and related data needed to authenticate you and provide cloud features such as AI generation history, quotas, and subscription status.
  • Content you provide — Text prompts for AI image generation, selected styles, sizes, and generation-related metadata such as status and timestamps.
  • Usage data — App interaction data needed to operate and improve the service, such as wallpaper views, downloads, favorites, searches, and generation activity.
  • Purchase and subscription records — Subscription status, entitlement state, transaction identifiers, and related data needed to validate Apple in-app purchases and provide paid features.
  • Advertising and device-related data — If ads are shown, third-party advertising SDKs such as Google Mobile Ads may collect identifiers, device IDs, ad performance data, product interaction data, diagnostics, and device/network information under their own policies.
  • Consent status — We may use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and store your consent choices for advertising and privacy compliance in supported regions.

3. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions)

Where GDPR or equivalent laws require a “legal basis”, we rely on the following, depending on the activity:

  • Performance of a contract / service provision — Operating your account, delivering wallpapers and AI generation, validating subscriptions, and providing features you request.
  • Legitimate interests — Securing the service, preventing abuse and fraud, enforcing quotas, troubleshooting, and limited analytics necessary to run the app, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent — Where required for certain advertising or tracking-related processing (for example, where UMP or similar prompts apply), or where we explicitly ask for your consent.
  • Legal obligation — Where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

4. Photo library access

We request access to your photo library only when you choose to save a wallpaper or generated image to Photos. We do not upload your entire library or scan unrelated photos in the background.

5. How we use information

  • To provide app features, including wallpaper browsing, AI generation, cloud history, purchase validation, and subscription entitlements.
  • To secure accounts, prevent abuse, enforce quotas, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.
  • To display, measure, and manage advertising where applicable.
  • To manage consent choices and privacy compliance requirements in supported jurisdictions.

6. Advertising, consent, and tracking

WiboWalls uses Google Mobile Ads to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. We may also use Google User Messaging Platform to present privacy and advertising consent messages.

As of the current app implementation, WiboWalls does not request App Tracking Transparency authorization and does not intentionally perform cross-app or cross-website tracking for the app’s own purposes. If this changes in a future version, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures.

Google and its partners may still process certain identifiers, device IDs, product interaction data, crash data, or performance data as part of ad delivery, fraud prevention, measurement, frequency capping, or regional compliance workflows. Please review Google’s privacy documentation for additional details.

7. Sharing with service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers strictly as needed to operate the app, including hosting providers, AI service providers, and advertising partners such as Google. These providers process data on our instructions or under their own terms where they act as independent controllers (for example, for ad delivery).

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located in China and may be transferred to service providers in other countries or regions (for example, the United States or the European Economic Area) where those providers operate, including Google and AI vendors.

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, such transfers may involve countries that are not deemed to provide an “adequate” level of data protection. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by relevant authorities, provider contractual commitments offered by major processors (such as Google’s data protection terms for applicable products), or other mechanisms permitted by applicable law. You may request more information about transfers by contacting us at the email above.

9. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account state, enforce quotas and subscriptions, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

You may delete your account in the app (Profile). After a verified deletion request, we will delete or anonymize associated account data within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention period is required by law, security, fraud prevention, payment verification, or dispute handling.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to data portability, to object to certain processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact ynesconnect@163.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland and believe we have not addressed your concern, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in your country or region. A list of EEA data protection authorities is maintained by the European Data Protection Board: EDPB — EU/EEA members. For the UK, see the ICO.

11. California (USA) residents

If California law applies, we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are commonly defined under the CCPA/CPRA for monetary consideration. California residents may have rights to know, delete, and correct certain personal information, subject to exceptions. Submit requests to ynesconnect@163.com.

12. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

14. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects solely based on automated processing of your personal data.

15. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or other reasonable means where appropriate.
